When it comes to branding your blog, you might find yourself in a creative rut. Knowing where to begin when defining your brand is half the battle and it can feel overwhelming at times. If you’re feeling the pressure of creating a beautiful brand to last you through the years, then take a deep breath and start with answering these 5 questions.
Who is your audience?
It all starts with who you are speaking to. Take some time and jot down details about your audience like how old they are, where do they live and what are they interested in?
What 3 keywords describe your brand?
This is harder than it sounds but choosing 3 keywords to describe your brand will set the tone for your aesthetic. Take your time on this one!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
It’s important that your brand remains timeless. So before you start choosing design elements, visualize where you brand could be in 5 years!
What established brands do you admire and why?
A little inspiration never hurt nobody! Think of 5 brands or so that you admire and figure out why. Is it their design elements? How they speak to you? Or maybe you just really like their font? Whatever it is, isolate that factor and jot it down!
What do you want to say?
Last but not least, what do you want your brand to say about you? Think short-term and long-term for this one, and jot down a couple things your brand should communicate.
